One notable aspect of today's Countywide interlibrary service is request and delivery of materials. For library users, this is an often invisible yet ongoing process of library staff members each day filling automated requests for books or other library resources and packaging the items to travel - in a minimal amount of time - to the member library specified by the requesting borrower. The items are then checked out to the requesting borrower who may return the borrowed resource to any PALS library. The delivery system, funded by our Regional organization, is really quite remarkable in its expansion of information access possibilities for residents of Passaic County. Library staff use the labels linked below to complete the transactions.
